Information Management and Architecture

The Department of Defence (Defence) requires their Information Technology platforms to provide common battlespace awareness and information superiority through integrated and interoperable information. This capability is critical to the next generation of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, link sensors and weapons platforms. For Defence to move forward with this vision the First Principles Review recommended the implementation of Enterprise Information Management (EIM).

TAP has been leading the enablement of EIM from a Strategy, Architecture and Business perspective. TAP has successfully delivered the Architecture Vision Statement for this in addition to Current and Target State EIM Architecture for all Domains. We also delivered a Master Data Management (MDM) Framework, Data and Architecture Standards. This is the first time that Defence worked effectively across all Groups and Services to deliver an Enterprise Outcome.
